The focal point of this firm is to provide hands-on consultancy services to small business to assist with their general day to day accounting, tax and business needs. Hence, other diverse services such as financial planning have yet to be introduced.
Tax lodgements for 2014 number 820 with a significant contribution of revenue originating from company (55%), trust (13%) and super fund (11%) returns. A small number of audits are also completed by the practice.
The average client size is around $4.9K per group with some 46.5% of revenue generated from the top 20 client groupings, the largest of which generates $46K in annual fees.
Clients are quite diverse with no particular industry serviced by the firm. Most business clients are either under the age of 55 or have younger family members also involved in the business.
The vendor is interested in a longer term transition. The premises are currently owned by an associated entity with an alternative lessee available should the purchaser not wish to retain the firm’s current location. That said, whilst the practice is relocatable within its immediate area, the further it is moved from its present location, the greater the likelihood of staff and client loss.
