Around 80% of equity will become available over time in this well-established firm that provides tax and compliance, business and wealth advice to privately owned family businesses and their individual family members. The provision of budget and VCFO services has been growing, and business advisory, governance, succession, estate planning, and family office services are evolving.
In recent times, new clients have been originating from word of mouth and responding to a proactive social media presence.
The firm’s lodgements for FY 2023 were 785, at an average of just over $1.3K, consisting of 295 ‘I’ returns, 9 partnerships, 79 trusts, 69 companies and 28 super funds, and 25 FBT and 280 activity statements.
The top 20 client groups for 2023 contributed around 56% of overall revenue including the largest client at 7.1%. Most are based in Adelaide, come from diverse industries, and have been serviced by the firm for 10, 20, 30, and in a couple of instances, 35+ years.
The average age of the main contact in these groups is 57, although the range is from 40 to mid-seventies. Half have key contacts less than 60 years of age, and succession is in place for a couple of the groups.
Staff are a mix of on and offshore, including a longstanding accountant and administrator.
The firm’s main software applications are Xero, Class, FYI Docs, Change GPS, Light Year Docs, and Now Infinity.
The firm’s current lease expires in December 2025.
The senior partner wishes to gradually phase out, while the remaining partner is looking forward to a continued rewarding future supported by additional resources and broader skills.
